10 Micron Fuel Filter 69J-24501-10 for Yamaha F150 F200 F225 F250 FL150 LF250
10 Micron Fuel Filter 69J-24501-10 for Yamaha F150 F200 F225 F250 FL150 LF250
Product Overview
10 micron fuel filter for the Yamaha 4-stroke outboards in the F, LF and FL ranges, the filter that takes the fine particles out of the petrol before they reach the injectors on the 150, 200, 225 and 250 HP motors. It replaces Yamaha 69J-24501-00 and 69J-24501-10, it crosses to Sierra 18-79981 and 18-79905, and one filter ships at 46 g with packaging.
Yamaha built these engines around a high pressure fuel system, and the injectors on it will not tolerate grit or water. The filter is what stands between the fuel in the tank and the most expensive parts on the engine.
A 10 micron rating means it catches particles down to ten thousandths of a millimetre, which is fine enough to protect an injector and coarse enough to flow the volume the engine needs at full throttle. Going finer clogs early, going coarser lets the wear through.
Change it on the service interval rather than on symptoms. By the time a filter is badly restricted the engine has already been running lean at the top end, and on a four stroke that shows up as a motor that will not pull full rpm rather than one that will not start.
The model list below covers the V6 four strokes from 150 to 250 HP. Check the model and year against the table, because the same 150 badge covers engines from 2004 onwards and the FL150 is a different block from the F150.
