Product Overview

Mechanical fuel pump for Yamaha and Suzuki two-stroke outboards from 25 HP to 85 HP, one pump with gasket and buckle at 9 x 10 x 15 cm and 220 g. It replaces Yamaha 692-24410, Suzuki 15100-94311 and Tohatsu 356-04000-1M, with Mallory 9-35300, 35300 and 9-35305, 35305 and Sierra 18-7334 as aftermarket cross references. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.

The pump is driven by crankcase pressure through a pulse line, not by an electric motor. There is nothing to wire and nothing to prime by hand beyond the bulb, which is also why a pump that has gone soft does not fail outright: it delivers enough fuel for idle and then falls behind at three-quarter throttle.

On a tropical day the same weakness shows up sooner. Warm fuel in the line under the cowl turns to vapour, the pulse pressure cannot move it, and the motor stumbles as if the carburettor were at fault. A diaphragm that is already stiff cannot recover from that.
