Product Overview
Propeller shaft oil seal for Johnson Evinrude OMC, Mercury Mariner and Mercruiser outboards and sterndrives, supplied as a pack of 2 propeller shaft oil seals. The seal replaces OMC 320862 and 0320862, Mercury 26-76868 and 26-30550, Sierra 18-2002, GLM 85130 and Mallory 9-76202, it covers the 1978 to 1990 V6 and V8 engines listed below as well as the Mercury 65 to 275 HP outboards, and two seals ship at 23 g with packaging.
This is the seal at the back of the gearcase or the sterndrive housing, the one the propeller shaft runs through. It holds the gear oil in and the water out at the end where the prop turns, and it is the seal that fails first because it is the one exposed to line, weed and sand.
