Product Overview
Fuel filter element for Yamaha F150 to F250 outboards and Suzuki DF200 to DF350 four-strokes, supplied as 1 filter. It replaces Yamaha 6P3-WS24A-01-00 and 6P3-WS24A-02-00, and crosses to Suzuki 15412-93J10 and Sierra 18-79809. The element drops into the factory canister marked 6P3, so the housing does not need to be changed, and it is the same element Yamaha fits across the 150 to 425 HP four-stroke range.
These engines push a lot of fuel through a small paper element, and a filter that has gone dark will starve the high pressure pump at wide open throttle long before it looks blocked from outside. On a big four-stroke the first symptoms are a stumble when the throttle is opened quickly and a top end that fades after a few minutes. Change it at the interval in the manual, and always after any work that stirs up the tank.

- Look at the filter canister on the engine, this element only fits housings marked 6P3
- Check the model and serial number on the bracket if the housing has been replaced at some point
- Release the fuel pressure and catch the spill in a rag, the line stays charged after the engine stops
- Lubricate the new element seal with fuel, not grease, and do not overtighten the canister
- Prime the system and check the bowl for leaks before starting, then run and check again
