Product Overview
Boat registration decal kit in blue for any hull, with four complete sets of letters A to Z and four complete sets of numbers 0 to 9, pre-cut and ready to stick on. It suits any boat whatever the outboard badge, and it ships as one flat pack of 250 mm x 110 mm x 20 mm at 275 g.
Four sets of each character is the point of this kit. A registration number uses the same letter or digit more than once, and a pack with only one of each leaves the owner short. With four sets there is enough to repeat numbers and letters, and enough left over to replace a character that gets damaged.
The letters are pre-cut, so no trimming is needed and no cutting tool has to be used near gelcoat. They are printed on white vinyl with a gloss clear laminate over the top, which is what protects the colour from UV, from salt water and from fuel and solvent spills at the dock.
Application is straightforward on a clean, dry hull: mark the baseline with tape, space the characters evenly, and squeegee each one down from the centre outwards. Vinyl sticks best at moderate temperature, so a cold morning is not the time to do it.
The decal is a general hull item rather than an engine part, so it is not tied to a model or serial number. It is used on trailer boats, tenders, ribs and small fishing boats where the registration has to be displayed on both sides of the bow.
