Carburetor repair kit for Yamaha 6 HP and 8 HP two stroke outboards, replacing 6N0-W0093-00, 6N0-W0093-01 and 6G1-W0093. It is a complete rebuild kit for one carburettor and it fits the 6 HP from 1997 to 2000 and the 8 HP from 1997 to 2009.
The kit is the answer to a carburettor that has been sitting: rough idle, a lean sneeze off idle, or a motor that only runs on choke until it warms up. Those are all fuel circuit problems rather than ignition problems, and they are fixed by opening the carburettor and replacing the parts that harden, rather than by adjusting the mixture screws.
These are the small two stroke carburettors where the fuel passages are narrow enough that varnish from stale fuel blocks them outright. Soaking the body and blowing the passages through is part of the job, and the kit supplies the soft parts that will not survive being taken apart and put back.

Before You Buy
- Check the engine is a 6 HP built 1997 to 2000 or an 8 HP built 1997 to 2009, the earlier 6 HP carburettor is a different casting
- Match the old carburettor against 6N0-W0093 or 6G1-W0093 before ordering
- Work over a tray, the needle and the small springs are easily lost and are not sold separately here
- Count the turns in on each mixture screw before removing it, that is the only record of where it was
- Soak the body and blow every passage through with compressed air, a kit alone will not clear varnish
- Set the float height to spec before the bowl goes back on, a high float floods the motor at idle
- Drain the carburettor before winter storage, stale fuel is what destroys these the second time
