Product Overview

Carburetor repair rebuild kit part for Johnson, Evinrude and OMC outboards from 4 HP to 15 HP, supplied with a float and the needles, seats and gaskets needed to rebuild one carburettor. It replaces 398453, 0398453, 398452, 391305, 439072 and 391937, and crosses to Sierra 18-7223. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.

On these small two strokes the carburettor is the whole fuel system, so a tired one shows up as a motor that will not idle, will not sit at low speed without loading up, or needs the choke half out to keep running once warm. Rebuilding is usually enough, because the throttle body and bore rarely wear out on a 4 HP to 15 HP block.

The kit covers the 1974 to 1993 model years and the 4 HP, 4.5 HP, 5 HP, 6 HP, 7.5 HP, 8 HP, 9.9 HP, 14 HP and 15 HP motors listed below. Before stripping the carburettor, check the fuel line and the filter, and count the turns on the idle mixture screw so the motor can be brought back to a baseline once the kit is in.
