CDI unit part for Yamaha four-stroke outboards from 8 HP to 9.9 HP, supplied as 1 x ignition module. It replaces Yamaha 68T-85540-00 and controls ignition timing and coil triggering on the 8 and 9.9 HP models built from 2001 to 2022. A failed CDI unit shows up as no spark at all, a weak or intermittent spark, an engine that cuts out once warm, or a motor that will not restart after being switched off hot.
