Product Overview
Head and cover gasket set part for Johnson and Evinrude V4 outboards, supplied as two complete sets of four gaskets, replacing 318358 and 777379, plus Sierra 18-2956, Mallory 9-63828 and GLM 33540. It covers 65 HP to 140 HP V4 engines from 1973 through 1999, including the 65 and 80 JET models, the 88 HP, the 90 HP and the 115 HP. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.
The set is gaskets only, with no bolts or seals, so it suits a head that is coming off for a compression problem, a water leak or a rebuild rather than a routine service. Every gasket under the head and the cover is included, which matters because reusing one flattened gasket is the usual reason a fresh job leaks coolant into a cylinder.
A failed head gasket shows up as low compression, water in the cylinder, milky oil in the gearcase or block, or overheating that appears with no flow fault.
