Product Overview
2 pack of exhaust elbow and riser gaskets for Volvo Penta V6 and V8 petrol engines, replacing 8356908, 856039 and 857618 and crossing to Quicksilver 803356. The gaskets fit engines with the 3-3/4 inch exhaust outlet, which is the joint between the manifold and the riser.
Two gaskets per pack is the right quantity for one engine: one for the manifold to riser face and one for the riser to elbow face. Both open up when a riser is pulled, and a gasket that has been compressed once will not seal again, which is why they are never reused.
The fitment covers the 4.3 L V6, 5.0 L, 5.7 L and 8.1 L V8 in the AQ, BB, DP, SP and MS series from 1970 onwards. Check the outlet is 3-3/4 inch, because Volvo Penta also used a smaller outlet on the four cylinder motors and that gasket does not fit this pack.

Before You Buy
- Check the exhaust outlet is 3-3/4 inch, the four cylinder Volvo Penta outlet is smaller
- Match the old gasket against 8356908, 856039 or 857618 before ordering
- Never reuse a compressed gasket, they seal once and a second torque will not seal again
- Clean both faces back to bare metal, rust scale left on the flange is what blows the new gasket
- Check the manifold and riser faces are flat, a warped face needs machining rather than a thicker gasket
- Torque the fasteners evenly in a cross pattern, and recheck after the first heat cycle
