Product Overview

Fuel filter for the Suzuki DF25 through to the DF140 four stroke outboards, supplied as 1 x fuel filter. This part is the inline filter that sits between the fuel line and the engine. It replaces Suzuki 15410-87J10 and 15410-60C00, it crosses to Johnson Evinrude 5032323 and Sierra 18-7716, and it fits the 10 DF models listed in the table below.

The filter is the last thing between the fuel and the injectors, or between the fuel and the carburettors on the smaller DF models. Anything that gets past it goes into a jet or an injector, and on a four stroke DF that is a fuel system strip down rather than a roadside fix.

These filters are replaced on hours, not on symptoms. By the time an engine shows it, the filter is already bypassing or restricting. The two symptoms are opposite and both come from the same filter. A restricted filter leans the engine out at high revs, and a filter that has given up passes dirt straight through.

There is also water. The DF fuel system is not tolerant of water, and a filter that has been sitting with water in it rusts from the inside before it blocks. Ethanol fuel makes this worse on a boat that sits between trips.

The numbers on the box are 15410-87J10 and 15410-60C00. The filters are also sold under Johnson Evinrude 5032323 and Sierra 18-7716, which are the same element under different brands.

These are the 10 models given on the listings for this filter. The DF range is the Suzuki four stroke outboard family, and the same filter is used across the whole range from the DF25 to the DF140, which is why one number covers all ten.

Five of the models are given with a year range and five are not. The listings give no year at all for the DF25, the DF40, the DF60, the DF90 and the DF100. If your engine is one of those five, or you are not certain which build you have, send us the model, the year and the serial number and we will check the filter against it before you order.
