Product Overview

Hydrofoil stabilizer part for outboard and sterndrive motors from 8 HP to 40 HP, 343 mm high and 356 mm wide, moulded from UV resistant Nylon-PA66 and supplied with SS316 stainless bolts, a drill bit and fitting instructions. It fits most Yamaha, Suzuki, Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury and Honda outboards in the 8-40 HP range. Dispatched from our Germany local warehouse.

The foil bolts under the cavitation plate and adds lift at the stern. That lift is what gets a loaded boat on the plane at lower RPM, cuts bow rise when the throttle goes down, and steadies the hull in turns and in a following sea. On a small boat with a heavy four-stroke on the transom it is usually the cheapest change that alters how the hull behaves.

This is a modified fitment part, so measure before ordering. Check the cavitation plate is wide enough for the foil footprint, that there is clear space for the bolt pattern, and that the anode and the trim tab are not in the way. Bolts go through the plate, so plan the holes carefully: they are permanent.
