Ignition Key Switch Assembly 37110-93J02 for Suzuki 4-Stroke Outboard 9.9-250 HP
Ignition Key Switch Assembly 37110-93J02 for Suzuki 4-Stroke Outboard 9.9-250 HP
Product Overview
Ignition key switch assembly for the Suzuki four stroke outboards, supplied as 1 x ignition switch. It replaces Suzuki 37110-93J02, and the 37110-93J00 and 37110-93J01 numbers listed as alternates. It covers the Suzuki four stroke range from 9.9 HP to 250 HP, years 1998 to 2018.
The key switch is the one part of the electrical system that gets used every single time the boat goes out. It takes the start current, it carries the charging circuit back to the battery, and it is the switch that has to kill the engine as well as start it.
On a boat it also sits in the weather. A switch that has had salt spray on it for ten years will corrode inside the barrel before it fails outright, and the first sign is usually a start that needs two or three turns of the key rather than one.
The other common failure is the kill circuit. The switch has to earth the ignition when the key goes to OFF, and a worn contact there will either fail to stop the engine or stop it at random when the boat hits a wave. Neither is something to keep using.
This switch replaces the original on Suzuki four stroke remote controls. It is the switch itself, with the terminals on the back for the start, ignition, charge and kill circuits.

These are the 18 horsepower ratings given on the listings for this switch, covering the Suzuki four stroke outboards from 9.9 HP to 250 HP, model years 1998 to 2018.
The listing gives the fitment by horsepower and by year rather than by model, so it covers a very wide range of engines. Suzuki used more than one remote control and harness connector across those years, so if your engine is at the edge of that range, send us the model, the year and the engine serial number and we will check the switch against it before you order.
If you still have the old switch, a photograph of the plug on the back of it is the fastest way to confirm a match.
