Ignition Switch with Key 5005801 0175974 0765562 for OMC Johnson Evinrude Outboard 40-200 HP — Australia Local Warehouse
Product Overview
Ignition switch with key part for OMC, Johnson and Evinrude outboards across the 40 HP to 200 HP range, a three position switch with the push to choke function these motors use. It replaces 5005801, 0175974 and 0765562. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.
On an OMC harness the key switch carries the start signal, the ignition kill circuit and the choke, so a worn switch shows up as more than a dead starter. A motor that will not shut off with the key, or one that cranks but never fires, is often the switch and not the solenoid or the power pack.
The switch is a straight swap on the dash panel, and the terminal layout matches the original harness plug. Check the plug shape and the terminal count against the photographs before ordering, because the later OMC and the BRP-era panels changed the connector even where the part number carried over.
