Product Overview
Flexible impeller kit for Jabsco pump 673-0001 and its 18673-0001 and 18673-0001-P versions, supplied as 1 impeller, 2 gaskets and 1 O-ring. The impeller also crosses to Johnson 09-1026B and 09-1026B-9 for the Model F4 pump, and to Sierra 18-3036, GLM 89520, CEF 500116, Orbitrade 15808 and DJ 09-108-0601. It is a 6 blade neoprene impeller, 51 mm (2 in) across, 22 mm (7/8 in) wide on a 12.7 mm (1/2 in) shaft, pin driven with a brass insert.
This pump family is used on raw water cooling, baitwell circulation and washdown systems, where the impeller runs dry the moment a seacock is left closed or a strainer blocks. Neoprene is the right compound for water with a little oil in it; a nitrile version is the one to fit where the pump sees fuel, oil or glycol. Fit the kit dry of grease, a mineral grease will soften neoprene, and check the cam and cover plate for scoring while the pump is open.

- Read the number cast on the pump body, this kit suits the 673-0001 family and the Johnson F4 and not the larger Jabsco pumps
- Check the cam and cover plate for wear, a scored cam will destroy a new impeller within hours
- Lubricate with glycerine or liquid soap and turn the shaft in its running direction as the cover goes back on
