Low oil pressure switch and sensor with wire harness for MerCruiser (Mercury Marine) sterndrive engines, supplied as 1 x sensor with the harness adapter. It is a direct replacement for MerCruiser 87-864252A01, 864252 and 805024, and cross-references 87-8M0070108. This is the newer style with the harness adapter and supersedes the older switch. The switch cuts the fuel pump when oil pressure drops, so a failed one either kills the engine at idle or lets it run with no oil pressure and no warning at all — which is why it is worth renewing before it strands you.
