Product Overview
Water pump impeller service kit for Mercury and Mariner outboards from 40 HP to 250 HP and for the MerCruiser Alpha One Gen.2 sterndrive. It replaces Mercury 47-43026Q06, 47-43026Q5, 47-43026T6, 47-43026T7, 47-43026T8, 47-43026T10, 47-43026T11 and 8M0100526, and crosses to Sierra 18-3265. The kit ships with the impeller, the stainless impeller plate, the face seal, the key, two O-rings and every gasket the job needs, so the pump is rebuilt in one pass instead of three orders.
One kit covers both families because Mercury used the same pump cartridge across the 40 to 250 HP outboards and the Alpha One Gen.2 leg. On the outboards the giveaway that the impeller is tired is a weak telltale at idle and a temperature creep on a long plane; on the sterndrive it is a rise in temperature above 2000 rpm, when the leg is finally pumping hard enough to show the drop in flow.

- Check the serial number against the table, Mercury changed the pump internals inside this horsepower band
- On an Alpha One Gen.2 confirm the drive is a Gen.2 and not an earlier Alpha One, the pump differs
- Use the face seal tool in the kit, driving the seal without it is the usual cause of a leak
- Replace the impeller plate as well as the impeller, a grooved plate destroys a new impeller quickly
- Lubricate the impeller with glycerine and turn the shaft in its running direction when the housing goes back on
