Quick Release Fuel Connector 22-13563Q3 for Mercury Mariner 8mm Engine End
Quick Release Fuel Connector 22-13563Q3 for Mercury Mariner 8mm Engine End
Product Overview
Quick release fuel connector part for the engine end of the fuel line on Mercury and Mariner outboards, replacing 22-13563Q3 and 22-13563A3. It takes an 8 mm fuel hose on the engine side and latches onto the cowl fitting with a push, so the line comes off without tools.
The connector is the short body version, and short matters: the long body fouls the lower cowl on the smaller four and five horsepower motors. The latch is the same bayonet that Mercury has used since the 1980s, which is why one connector number covers 4 HP through 200 HP.
Fitting is a push and a click, and the check is a pull. A connector that clicks but pulls off has a worn latch, and on the water that shows up as the motor leaning out at speed before it stops. The hose side needs an 8 mm bore and a stainless clamp.

Before You Buy
- Check the hose bore is 8 mm, the 3/8 and 5/16 OMC connectors do not latch on a Mercury fitting
- Match the old connector against 22-13563Q3, the long body version will not clear the small cowls
- Check the cowl fitting for a worn O-ring, that is the usual cause of a fuel smell in the splashwell
- Cut the old hose square before fitting, a ragged end will weep past the barb
- Use a stainless clamp on the hose side, a plastic tie will not hold fuel pressure
- Prime the bulb and check the joint before starting, then check again after the first run
- 30-Day Easy Returns
- Free Worldwide Shipping
