12 V voltage regulator rectifier for Mercury and Mariner outboards from 6 HP to 200 HP built between 1976 and 1998, a direct bolt-on replacement part measuring 40 x 40 x 23 mm. It replaces Mercury 62351A1, 62351A2, 816770 and 816770T plus 8M0058226, and cross-references Sierra 18-5707 and 18-5707A, CDI 154-6770, Arco AR351, GLM 72310, Mallory 9-17100 and MES 1782M. The unit measures 40 x 40 x 23 mm and bolts to the same footprint as the original. A failed rectifier usually shows up as a battery that will not charge, a tachometer that reads zero, or a fuse that blows as soon as the engine starts.
