Raw water sea pump rebuild kit 09-808B for Johnson, Jabsco and Volvo Penta marine engines, the flexible impeller kit that services the pump on the MD5A to MD11D diesels. It replaces 09-808B, 09-45589 and 22405-0001, and it ships in a 150 x 100 x 50 mm box at 153 g.
The same kit covers the Jabsco pump 22405-0001, the Volvo Penta numbers 875583, 833995, 3586496 and 21951344, and the Onan and Westerbeke engines that use that pump. The Volvo Penta pumps 833883 and 840076 are the housings it is designed around.
A raw water pump on a diesel is run until it fails, and it fails quietly. The vanes take a set, the pump still turns and still shifts water, but not enough, and the first sign is usually a temperature gauge climbing at cruising revs. Taking the pump apart on the mooring and rebuilding it with a kit is a far cheaper morning than waiting for the manifold to overheat.
