Product Overview
Rectifier voltage regulator part for Yamaha two and three cylinder outboards from 25 HP to 70 HP, built 1984 to 2001. It replaces Yamaha 6G1-81970-00, 6G1-81970-60, 6G1-81970-61 and 6G1-81970-62, and turns the stator output into regulated DC to charge the battery. A failed rectifier shows up as a battery that will not hold charge, a tachometer that reads erratically, or a burnt smell and melted connector at the regulator.
