Product Overview
Remote control tilt and trim switch for Mercury outboards on the Remote Control 4000 side mount box, the wear part in the handle that trims the motor up and down. It replaces Mercury 18286A43 and 87-18286A43 and the earlier 18286A26, 18286A2 and 16991A1, plus 8M0010146 and 8M0205787, and it ships as one switch in a 15 x 18 x 1 cm pack.
This switch is the one under the thumb on the side mount handle, so it takes the wear: rain, sun, salt spray and thousands of presses. When it fails the trim stops on one side, works only in one direction, or the motor creeps down while the boat is under way.
It fits every Remote Control 4000 side mount box with power trim from 1994 onwards, and the same switch is fitted to the Mercury Amanzi 320 and Amanzi 380 Hypalon RIB packages from 2004 to 2006.
