Product Overview
Skeg guard protector for Mercury, Mariner and Evinrude Johnson outboards from 40 HP to 60 HP, supplied as 1 x guard in marine-grade 316 stainless steel with a 3 mm reinforced lower wear tab. It replaces Megaware SkegGuard 27341 and bolts over the existing skeg, so it protects the lower unit from ramp drag and debris and also repairs a broken skeg that still has 2 to 3 inches left. The guard has a drain hole at the bottom so water cannot sit and corrode the leg, and it follows the lower unit profile closely enough that it adds no noticeable drag.
