Product Overview
Trim sender kit for the Mercury EFI outboards from 30 HP to 60 HP, including the Jet, SeaPro and 60R racing versions. It replaces Mercury 8M0098264, 821400A2, 821400A05 and 8M0074845, and it ships as one kit in a 150 mm x 100 mm x 50 mm box at 197 g.
The sender is the part that tells the gauge and the ECU where the engine is trimmed. When it fails the gauge either sits at the bottom of its travel, jumps about, or reads correctly on the trailer and drifts once the engine is under load.
On the EFI four cylinder engines the sender is a wear item. Salt water works into the pivot and the wiper arm loses contact, which shows up first as an intermittent gauge and later as a trim limit that the engine will not pull past.
Fitment covers the 30 HP 3 cylinder EFI, the 35 HP 4 cylinder Jet, the 40 HP in 3 and 4 cylinder, Jet and SeaPro form, the 50 HP 4 cylinder, the 60 HP 4 cylinder and SeaPro, and the 60R HP EFI Racing. Check the model and serial number on the bracket plate before ordering.
