Product Overview
Universal whale tail hydrofoil stabilizer kit, part Sport 300, for outboards and sterndrives from 40 HP to 350 HP, supplied as 1 x hydrofoil with 4 stainless bolts, nuts, gaskets, a drill guide and instructions. The foil bolts onto the antiventilation plate and adds a lifting surface behind the propeller, which is what gets a heavy boat onto the plane at lower rpm and holds it there at a lower speed. It is moulded in UV-resistant Nylon PA66 with SS316 stainless hardware, so it survives salt water and sun without going chalky. The wider 432 mm span and 366 mm depth suit the big-block and sterndrive applications that the smaller fins cannot lift.

Before You Buy
- Measure the antiventilation plate first, the foil has to sit flat without overhanging the trailing edge
- Check that the plate is at least as wide as the foil mounting base
- Drill through the plate using the supplied guide, measure twice before drilling
- Seal the bolt holes with the supplied gaskets and a marine sealant
- Run the boat and trim the motor one hole at a time until it stops porpoising
