Water pump impeller 17461-97JM0 for the Suzuki DF2.5 2.5 HP four stroke outboard, the small neoprene impeller that sits in the leg of the portable motor. It replaces 17461-97J10, 17461-97J00 and 17461-97JL0, and it also crosses to the OMC and Johnson Evinrude number 5037429.
It fits every Suzuki DF2.5 from 2006 onward. These are the little four strokes that hang off the back of a tender, a sailing dinghy or a small inflatable, and the pump in the leg is what keeps them cool at trolling speed for hours at a time.
The impeller is the part that fails first on a motor like this. It runs dry every time the boat is launched before the water reaches the leg, the vanes stiffen with age, and the tell tale that used to be a steady stream becomes a drizzle.
