Product Overview
Water pump impeller kit with key for Yamaha 25 HP to 50 HP outboards, supplied as 1 impeller and 1 woodruff key. It measures 51.8 mm (2.04 in) outside diameter, 16 mm (0.63 in) at the hub and 19 mm (0.75 in) high, with 6 neoprene blades on a key drive, 28 g. It replaces Yamaha 6H4-44352-02, 6H4-44352-01 and 6H4-44352-00, the older 676-44352-01, and crosses to Sierra 18-3068. Held in our Australia local warehouse.
This is the small-hub pump used on the 2-cylinder and 3-cylinder gearcases, not the larger pump on the 60 HP and up motors. The key is in the box because a sheared or missing key turns a good impeller into a useless one, and it is the part people forget to order.
The failure mode on these motors is quiet. The blades curl and set before they break, so the pump still moves water at planing speed and starves the motor at idle and on a long run at part throttle.
