Water pump repair kit with the housing for the Johnson and Evinrude 85 to 235 HP V4 and V6 outboards, supplied as 1 complete water pump kit. It replaces Johnson Evinrude 395073, 388644, 389158 and 777813, it crosses to Sierra 18-3393, it fits the 85 HP in 1978 and the 115, 140, 150, 175, 200 and 235 HP from 1976 to 1978, and one kit ships at 682 g with packaging.
This is the full kit rather than just an impeller. It comes with the housing, the stainless liner and plate that sit inside it, the impeller on its key, the seals and O-rings and the bolts and screws that hold it down, which is 16 different parts in 20 pieces.
The housing is why this kit is worth having. On these V4 and V6 gearcases the liner wears with the impeller, so a new impeller in a worn housing loses pressure almost straight away. Fitting the housing and the liner with the impeller is what restores the pump.
The 85 HP takes one water tube and the rest of the list does not, which is the one fitment difference worth checking before you order. Everything on the list runs from 1976 to 1978 apart from the 85 and the 235, which are both 1978 only.
All the small parts come with it. The two O-rings measure 2.65 mm across the cord with 19 mm and 33.5 mm inside diameters, the seal is 3.5 mm thick with a 28 mm outside diameter, and the four 1/4-20 bolts and two number 10 screws are there because the originals rarely come out clean.
