It replaces MerCruiser 46-807151A9 and 46-807151A12 and covers 47-72774A86 and 47-72774A50. The kit holds 8 pieces and ships in a 150 mm x 100 mm x 50 mm box at 365 g.
This is the full rebuild for the brass sea pump on the front of the engine, not just an impeller. It carries the impeller, a pair of ball bearings, both shaft seals, the retaining ring, the housing ring and the O rings, which is everything that wears inside the pump.
Bearings and seals are the parts that get skipped when only the impeller is changed. A pump with a new impeller and a worn bearing still leaks at the seal face and still rumbles at idle, and it usually takes the new impeller with it within a season.
The kit fits the engine mounted sea water pumps on 1999 and older MerCruiser engines running the 46-807151 series pump, including the Bravo raw water pump. Check the pump body number before ordering, because the later pumps take a different kit.
