Product Overview
Drain screw gasket, a direct replacement part for Mercury outboards and MerCruiser sterndrives, sold as 12 pieces in a 150 mm x 180 mm x 10 mm box at 11 g. The gasket seals the 3/8-16 drain and fill screws on gearcases, lower units and sea water pumps. It replaces MerCruiser 12-19183, 12-191832, 12-191833, 12-19183B, 12-20260 and 12-20260B and crosses to Sierra 18-2945.
These are the fibre washers under the slotted drain and fill screws on Mercury, Mariner and MerCruiser gearcases. They crush to seal, so they are a single use part. Reusing one is the usual cause of a slow oil weep around a drain screw.
The 12 piece pack covers a few seasons of gear lube changes. Each gearcase takes two, one at the drain and one at the vent, and sterndrives with a seawater pump can take more.
Fitment is by screw thread rather than by engine model. If the screw is 3/8-16, this gasket fits, whatever the drive is badged.
