1395-9179 Carburetor Kit for Mercury Mariner Outboard 6 8 9.9 10 15 20 25 HP — Australia Local Warehouse
Product Overview
Carburetor repair kit for Mercury and Mariner outboards from 6 HP to 25 HP, covering the 8, 9.9, 10, 15 and 20 HP models as well. It replaces Mercury 1395-9761, 1395-97611, 1395-9803, 1395-9725, 1395-9645, 1395-9377, 1395-9179 and 1395-811357, and crosses to Sierra 18-7212, GLM 40610 and Mallory 9-37304 and 37304. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.
The kit carries the gaskets, needle and seat, and the soft parts that harden when an outboard sits through a long spell between trips. A carburettor that has started to flood, surge or refuse to idle can be brought back without buying a whole carburettor.
These are the WMC carburettors fitted across the small Mercury and Mariner range. They run a small float bowl and a single mixture screw, and the rubber tip on the needle takes a set after a few seasons, which is why the engine drips fuel and floods after a long idle. Rebuilding is the cheap fix as long as the throttle shaft and the bore are not worn, so check both before ordering.
