Water Pump Impeller 17461-98501 for Suzuki DT Outboard 2-8 HP Johnson Evinrude 18-3097 — United Kingdom Local Warehouse
Product Overview
Water pump impeller for Suzuki DT outboards from 2 HP to 8 HP and for the Johnson Evinrude 4, 5 and 6 HP, supplied as one impeller. It measures 40.85 mm (1.61 in) outside diameter, 9.75 mm (0.38 in) at the shaft insert and 13.75 mm (0.54 in) high, with 6 blades on a key drive, 8 g. It replaces Suzuki 17461-98501 and Johnson Evinrude 5030188 and 0769477, crossing to Sierra 18-3097, Mallory 9-45504 and CEF 500336. Dispatched from our United Kingdom local warehouse.
The same impeller serves 2HP, 4HP, 5HP, 6HP and 8 HP because the Johnson and Evinrude small motors of 1998 onwards used a Suzuki built pump. The Suzuki DT2, DT2.2, DT3.5, DT4, DT5, DT6 and DT8 take it, and so do the DF4 and DF6 four strokes.
These are the motors on tenders, inflatables and small estuary boats, where the pump works in shallow, silty water and often spends the week tilted up on a mooring. That combination is harder on an impeller than hours of running, and it is why they are worth changing on the calendar rather than on the temperature gauge.
