Installation Overview

1. Allow engine to cool completely and disconnect the battery.
2. Drain coolant and remove exhaust riser/elbow assembly.
3. Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly (no old gasket material).
4. Install new composite gaskets dry—no sealant required.
5. Reinstall riser, torque bolts in cross-pattern to factory spec.
6. Refill coolant, start engine, and check for exhaust or coolant leaks.
