Product Overview
Exhaust manifold elbow riser gasket 2-pack part for Volvo Penta GL, Gi and GXi engines from 4.3L to 8.1L and for OMC Cobra engines rated 200, 225, 270, 300 and 320 HP. It replaces Volvo Penta 3850496 and 3863191, OMC Cobra 913783, 909786 and 351325, plus Sierra 18-0943. Dispatched from our Australia local warehouse.
The gaskets sit dry between the manifold and the riser on the high temperature joint, and the pack supplies both faces of one joint. Composite rather than paper, because a paper gasket on this joint dries out and blows through within a season on a raw water cooled engine.
Replace both gaskets every time the riser or elbow comes off, even if they look intact. A failed gasket shows up as water weeping at the joint, exhaust soot around the elbow, or a raw water leak running down onto the starter. Clean both faces back to bare metal before fitting, and check the manifold face for corrosion pitting while it is open.
