Product Overview

Fuel line connector fittings, a replacement part for the Yamaha outboard fuel tank and engine side joint. It replaces 6G1-24304-00, 6G1-24304-01, 6G1-24304-02 and 6G1-24304-10, plus 6YL-24304-00 and 6YL-24304-01, and takes a 6 mm (1/4 in) fuel hose.

These are the quick release joints that sit between the tank and the engine on every Yamaha portable outboard. The connector wears at the O-ring and the latch, so it either leaks fuel into the well under the cowl or lets air in, which leans the engine out at speed. Both show up first as a fuel smell and a hard start after the tank has been off.

The 6 mm barb suits the standard Yamaha fuel line and primer bulb. The joint is the same at both ends of the hose on most models, so check which side has failed before ordering, and replace the primer bulb at the same time if it is the original.

• Check which joint has failed, the tank side and the engine side take the same 6 mm connector on most Yamaha models
• Match the old connector with 6G1-24304 or 6YL-24304, the two families are not interchangeable
• Cut the hose square and push it fully onto the barb before fitting the clamp, a short push is where most air leaks start
• Fit a new hose clamp at the same time, a reused clamp will not hold a new barb
