Air filter foam insert for Volvo Penta D2 and MD series marine diesel engines, replacing 3580509. It fits D2-40, 40B, 40F, D2-50F, D2-55 B/C/D/E/F, D2-60F, D2-75 B/C/F, MD2010 C/D, MD2020 B/C/D, MD2030 B/C/D and MD2040 B/C/D models, covering 10 HP MD2010 through 75 HP D2-75. The foam element sits in the original air filter housing and traps dust before it reaches the intake. A dirty or collapsed insert shows up as black exhaust smoke, reduced power or a visibly clogged element at service. Replace it at the service interval, and more often in dusty conditions.
