Product Overview

Carburetor for Suzuki DF4, DF5 and DF6 four stroke outboards and for the Johnson/OMC 4 HP, the fuel metering part that bolts to the intake in place of the original. It replaces Suzuki 13200-91J70, 13200-91J80, 13200-91J81, 13200-91JB0 and 13200-91JB1 and Johnson 5036191, 5036192, 5036549 and 5037520, and it ships as one carburetor in a 125 mm x 95 mm x 85 mm box at 388 g.

These small four stroke outboards use a single barrel carburetor with a manual choke, and it is the part that sets the whole running quality of the engine: idle, transition and top end all come off the same barrel. When the idle circuit plugs with old fuel, the engine will only run on choke, and when the throttle shaft wears, it will not hold a steady idle at all.

On a four stroke of this size the carburetor is often replaced rather than rebuilt, because the passages are small and the throttle shaft bore wears oval in a way that no kit can fix. A new carburetor restores the original jetting and removes the guesswork from a rebuild.

Both engine families are covered because the same carburetor body was used across the Suzuki DF4, DF5 and DF6 four strokes from 2002 to 2011 and on the Johnson/OMC 4 HP. Match the model and year on the engine plate against the tables below before ordering, since a carburetor jetted for a 4 HP will run lean on a 6 HP.
