Product Overview
Carburetor, a direct replacement part for Yamaha 4 HP and 5 HP four stroke outboards built from 2005 onwards. It replaces Yamaha 67D-14301-00, 67D-14301-10, 67D-14301-11, 67D-14301-12, 67D-14301-13, 68D-14301-00, 68D-14301-03 and 68D-14301-13, and crosses to Sierra 18-34601. The carburetor weighs 428 g in a 125 mm x 100 mm x 85 mm box (4.92 in x 3.94 in x 3.35 in).
This is the complete bolt on carburetor, not a rebuild kit. On these small four strokes the throttle shaft and the needle jet wear together, and a kit will not fix a body that is already drawing air past the shaft.
Yamaha ran several revisions of this carburetor across the 4 HP and 5 HP four stroke range. The superseded 67D numbers all resolve to the later casting, so the part you receive is the current version that covers the whole range.
Hard starting, a stumble just off idle and a plug that soots up are the three symptoms that point at the carburetor on these engines. A motor that runs clean at wide open throttle but fouls at trolling speed is usually a worn needle and seat rather than ignition.
