Carburetor assembly for Tohatsu, Nissan, Mercury and Mariner 4 HP, 5 HP and 6 HP four stroke outboards, 1 x carburetor per pack, replacing 3R1-03200-1, 3AS-03200-0, 3GV-03200-0 and the Mercury 803522T family from 803522T1 to 803522T06.
This is the complete bolt on carburetor for the small four stroke singles that Tohatsu builds for Mercury and Mariner, so one part covers all four badges on the 4, 5 and 6 HP motors from 2002 onward.
The usual failure on these is a blocked idle jet from ethanol blend sitting in the bowl over winter. Rebuilding works until the throttle shaft and the body bore wear, and then the motor will not hold an idle no matter what you do to the mixture screw.

Before You Buy
- Check the number on the old carburetor body, the 3R1 and 803522 families are both covered here
- Check the model and year, this is the 4, 5 and 6 HP four stroke single
- Check the fuel line, primer bulb and tank pickup before blaming the carburetor
- Check the inlet filter and drain the old fuel, ethanol blend is the usual cause of a blocked idle jet
- Fit new gaskets at the manifold and set the mixture screw to the manual base setting
- Run on muffs, then set the idle in the water with the motor in gear
- Check the fuel joints for weeps after the first run
