Product Overview
Carburettor intake gasket, 8 pack, for Mercury and Mariner 75 HP, 80 HP, 90 HP and 115 HP two stroke outboards, replacing Mariner 27-151724, 27-151723, 27-15172 and 27-93214, and crossing to Sierra 18-0324. It is the gasket part that seals the carburettor body to the intake manifold.
Eight pieces in one pack covers a full set of carburettors on these engines, and it covers both faces where the gasket is used as a spacer as well as a seal. On a four cylinder 75 or 90 there are two carburettors, on the 115 there are more, so a single gasket bought locally usually means reordering before the job is finished.
The gasket has to seal against fuel and against the air leak that follows a hardened one. A carburettor flange that pulls air leans the mixture at idle and the motor hunts, then picks up when it warms, which is the symptom that sends people to the carburettor instead of the gasket.

Before You Buy
- Check the horsepower on the cowl, these gaskets are for the 75, 80, 90 and 115 HP two strokes
- Match the old gasket against 27-151724 or 18-0324 before ordering, the 4 stroke intake is different
- Clean both flanges back to bare metal, old gasket cement will hold the new gasket off the face
- Check the flange is flat with a straight edge, a warped carburettor body will not seal with any gasket
- Tighten the carburettor nuts evenly in a cross pattern, uneven torque bows the flange
- Run the motor and check idle quality afterwards, a dropped idle speed usually means an air leak
