Exhaust mixing elbow for Volvo Penta marine inboard engines, supplied as 1 x elbow. This is the Volvo Penta part 861289, and the same casting is sold under 851289 and 860656, with Orbitrade 16289, Crom 116026 and HGE1289 as the aftermarket equivalents. The elbow bolts to the exhaust manifold and is where the raw cooling water is injected into the exhaust gas, so it works wet, hot and in salt; the water jacket inside corrodes through long before the outside looks bad, and when it does, water runs back into the manifold and then into a cylinder. It fits the AD31, AD41, KAD32, KAD42, KAMD42, TAMD42, KAD43, KAD44 and KAD300 engine families.
