Fuel filter element for Yamaha 4-stroke outboards from 4 to 9.9 HP, replacing 68T-24251-00, 68T-24251-01, 6EE-F4251-00 and 646-24251-02, plus Sierra 18-7710. It fits F4, F6 and F8 models, with the 6 HP and 8 HP applications covering 2001 and later. A clogged element shows up as a motor that starves at high RPM, surges at cruise, stalls at idle or will not prime after a fuel line change. Replace the element at the service interval and check the bowl for water or debris.
