Hot Foot Throttle Control Spring HFS1DP Universal Marine Boat Inboard Outboard
Hot Foot Throttle Control Spring HFS1DP Universal Marine Boat Inboard Outboard
Product Overview
Hot foot throttle control spring HFS1DP, the return spring for foot operated throttles, the small part that pulls the pedal back when you lift off. It fits most outboard and inboard marine engines, comes in a 150 x 180 x 80 mm bag (5.9 in x 7.1 in x 3.1 in) at 51 g, and works with the common hot foot throttle systems.
The spring is what makes a hot foot safe: let off and the throttle closes on its own instead of staying where your foot left it. A tired or broken spring turns a foot throttle into a dangerous one, which is why these get replaced rather than repaired.
One spring in the bag. Match it against the old one, fit it on the return arm, and check the pedal snaps back fully before the boat goes in the water.
