Product Overview
Ignition switch panel, a direct replacement part for Suzuki outboards that use the top mounted single ignition switch. It replaces Suzuki 37100-96J24 and 37100-96J27 and is supplied as a complete panel with keys and a safety lanyard. The panel is the top mount pattern, not the side mount one, and comes packed in a 160 mm x 120 mm x 80 mm box (6.30 in x 4.72 in x 3.15 in) at 430 g.
The panel carries the key barrel, the stop and start positions and the lanyard cut out in one assembly, so a cracked or corroded original is replaced as a unit rather than rebuilt.
Suzuki used the same top mount panel across a run of part numbers. 37100-96J26, 37100-96J25, 37100-96J23, 37100-96J21, 37100-96J20 and 37100-93J20 are all superseded by 37100-96J24 and 37100-96J27, so any of them can be replaced with this panel.
The lanyard is the kill cord. A panel that has lost its lanyard clip will not shut the motor down if the driver leaves the helm, which is a safety item rather than a convenience one.
