Product Overview
Bellow retainer ring install driver, a marine installation tool and part for Mercruiser Alpha One Gen II, Bravo and Blackhawk drives, supplied as 1 steel driver, 211 g packed in a 16 x 10 x 6 cm box. The same driver is called for on Mercury drives that list the number below. It replaces 91-818162, 43577, Sierra 18-9870 and Mallory 9-79821. The tool seats the aluminium retainer ring that holds the U-joint bellows onto the gimbal housing. Without a driver the ring goes in crooked, the bellows lip pinches and the boat takes water through the transom on the next launch. Use it with the drive removed, after the bellows is on the housing and the ring is started by hand.
