Thermostat 60C 140F for Yamaha Suzuki Honda Johnson Evinrude 75-250 HP Outboard
Thermostat 60C 140F for Yamaha Suzuki Honda Johnson Evinrude 75-250 HP Outboard
Product Overview
60 °C / 140 °F thermostat for Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Johnson, Evinrude and Mercury outboards from 75 HP to 250 HP, replacing Yamaha 67F-12411-00, 67F-12411-01 and 6CB-12411-00, Suzuki 17670-90J00, Honda 19300-ZX2-003, Johnson Evinrude 5033721 and 0769254, and crossing to Sierra 18-3632. One thermostat is supplied.
Sixty degrees, not the eighty two degrees used on the smaller motors. Fitting a hotter thermostat to these big four strokes makes them run lean of their design point, the ECU sees the temperature it expects and the motor holds more heat in the head than it should. Match the opening temperature before anything else.
It is the same wax pellet thermostat across the four brands, which is why one part covers a Yamaha F250, a Suzuki DF250, a Honda BF250 and a Johnson 225. The difference is the housing and the seal, which stay on your motor, so this is a drop in swap.

Before You Buy
- Check the opening temperature stamped on the old thermostat, 60 °C is not interchangeable with the 71 and 82 °C parts
- Check your model and year against the tables, the F225 changed thermostat housing between the A and B series
- Check the housing and the seal groove while the thermostat is out, a hardened seal leaks past the new thermostat
- Check the pressure relief valve and the poppet in the same housing, a stuck valve shows as an overheat at speed
- Refill and run on muffs, then check the head temperature comes up and settles rather than climbing slowly
- Look for a telltale that is weaker than before fitting, which points to an airlock rather than the thermostat
- 30-Day Easy Returns
- Free Worldwide Shipping
