Product Overview
Marine fuel connector part for Johnson and Evinrude outboards, with a 3/8 inch (9.5 mm) hose barb and the two prong clip that holds it onto the tank or engine fitting. It replaces OMC 176445 and 775641 and crosses to Sierra 18-8092 and Mallory 9-38015.
The body is marine grade brass with a polished finish, and it mates with the Johnson Evinrude female quick connect 502867 and 772681. Push on, no tools, which matters on a fuel line that gets disconnected at the ramp every trip.
The 3/8 inch barb is the larger of the two common OMC sizes; the 5/16 inch version is a different connector and does not interchange. Check the inside diameter of the hose on the boat before ordering, because a 5/16 hose forced onto this barb will leak at the clamp and a 3/8 hose on the small connector will pull air.

Before You Buy
- Measure the hose bore, 3/8 inch is 9.5 mm and the 5/16 connector will not fit it
- Match the old connector against 176445 or 18-8092, the Mercury fitting uses a different latch
- Check the female quick connect on the tank for a worn O-ring, that is the usual source of a fuel smell
- Cut the old hose back square before fitting, a ragged end will weep past the barb
- Use a stainless clamp on the barb, a plastic tie will not hold fuel pressure
- Prime the bulb and check both joints before starting, and again after the first run
