Product Overview
Pivot pin bushing, the part that carries the steering pivot on Volvo Penta sterndrives and the helm isolator on the older AQ and AD engines. It replaces Volvo Penta 851262, 853048 and 0853048, and it is a threaded bush with an M36 x 1.5 thread.
The bush sits in the pivot housing where the drive swings on its pin. When it wears, the drive develops free play that shows up as vague steering, a clunk when the drive is trimmed hard over, or gear oil weeping past a bush that has lost its fit.
It fits a very wide spread of Volvo Penta engines and drives, from the AQ120B and AQ131 family through the AQ200 and AQ311, the AD31 and AD41 diesels, the 230 to 740 petrol range, the DP-A through DPX drives, the SP-A to SP-C drives and the later TSK DP-E, DP-G and DP-S transom shields.
