Speedometer coupling connector kit for Mercury MerCruiser Alpha One Gen II sterndrives built from 1991 to 1997. It replaces Mercury MerCruiser 815956A1 and 22-815956A1. The kit is supplied as 1 x coupling plus 1 x securing zip tie, joining the speedometer hose at the transom assembly to the pitot pickup on the drive. A cracked or missing coupler shows up as a dead speedometer, an erratic needle or water weeping at the transom fitting.
