Water pump impeller for Suzuki DT and DF outboards from 20 HP to 60 HP, replacing 17461-96312 and the earlier 17461-96300, 17461-96301, 17461-96302, 17461-96310 and 17461-96311. It crosses to Sierra 18-3096, GLM 89628, EMP 47-09211 and Mallory 9-45219, and it is supplied as 1 x impeller.

The impeller measures 67.73 mm outside diameter, 17 mm at the hub and 16.1 mm deep, with 6 blades on a key drive and a plastic hub. Note that the two listings measure the same part at 67.73 mm and 66.73 mm, because one is taken across the blades and the other across the hub body, so measure the old impeller the same way to compare.

It suits the two stroke DT20 through DT40 from 1983 and the four stroke DF25 through DF60, but not the DF30A, which uses a different pump. That one exception is worth checking before you buy, because the DF30A looks identical from the cowl.

Before You Buy

• Check the motor is not a DF30A, that model uses a different pump
• Measure the old impeller at 67.73 mm across the blades and 17 mm at the hub
• Check the plastic hub for a cracked keyway, a cracked hub spins on the shaft and stops pumping
• Inspect the pump liner for scoring and replace the housing if the surface is grooved
• Lubricate the impeller with glycerine and turn the shaft by hand to set the blade direction
• Check the telltale stream at idle and again at planing speed on the first run
